Everyday inspiration.

A native New Yorker, Amie Mays began her career as a style expert and digital storyteller at Nickelodeon and MTV. While at MTV, she independently produced two features, was instrumental in developing House of Style’s digital presence, and was one of the producers on the seminal music documentary AfroPunk, which has become one of the most recognized music festivals for forward-thinking Black music.

Amie finally made her mother proud, as one of the founders of MTV’s Caribbean channel for which she created a ground-breaking teen soap and produced two award winning documentaries.

Ever on the cusp of tradition and what’s next, Amie is also a published poet, and her innate sense of storytelling and aesthetics has earned her a portfolio including FUSE, New York Post Page 6, Lifetime, Awesomeness TV, YouTube beauty sensation Michelle Phan, music producer Dallas Austin, and an upcoming documentary on social justice.
