The name of this production house, Hillman Grad, is a reference to the fictional college in the late 80’s television show, A Different World. A deep maroon, the school’s color, and a magnetic blue, commonly see in Afro-Futuristic art, are consistently used throughout the space.

Mt. Washington, CA

Situated on an LA hillside, this gut-renovation has amazing views. My primary job was not to spoil the view. By doing less, and utilizing layered neutrals, I sought to create a visual meditation.

Inspired by the brand colors of this CEO’s all natural, fair trade, International company, the goal was to exude opulence without being ostentatious, to create a relaxing space amid a rich, bright palette, to show that true wealth is sustainable.
